wipro is a real shit stock.. i bought wipro at 635 and indus at 265 on the same date in 2022, that is two years ago. both stocks fell easily 20 pc initially but indus has risen magnificently to 339 today, whereas this wipro shit is sinking day by day, the new ceo looking haplessly. the loss is huge for me due to wipro because i bought 3000 shares. i wish the wipro management would buy back all the shares at at least at 500. a few months ago it bought back at 445.. now the lesson is don%u2019t go by the tag, %u201c frontline large cap it company%u201d it meant nothing when the top management proves to be nothing
Wipro has been an epitome of multibagger stories. Since 1980, it has given bonus 12 times and stock split 2 times. One single share of Wipro in 1980 at Rs. 100 would have converted into 2,56,000 shares. People who patiently held it through all the ups and downs of Harshad Mehta scam, Dotcom bubble, 2008 crisis have made a killing amount by just doing nothing. Just invest proper quantity at proper price and at proper time and just patiently wait. I know its easier said than done and I myself wont be able to do it nor i have patience. Its easier to talk and advice. But I really feel very bad for you, holding it for two years and in huge loss. I can suggest you to pledge shares, get margin for options trading and Sell OTM options and make decent returns of 5 to 10 percent annually on that. For example, if you believe Nifty wont be able to close above 25000 or close below 20000 by Dec end, just sell 25000 CE or 20000 PE Dec expiry from the margin received from pledged shares. You can easily make upto 10 percent in 8 mths. And by that time hopefully stock also recovers, so you can still make total 15 percent which is quite decent.
Price when posted : NSE: Rs. 448.85
