the government reduced domestic gas prices this may to usd 8.90 per mmbtu from last april,s usd 9.87. since around 60 percent of the hoec,s revenue comes from gas sales, the drop in stock price is responding to that. in march, the price was usd 8.17 per mmbtu, in case you were wondering. govt set the gas price beginning of every month for that month, just an info for your future analysis.

It seems HOEC has successfully resolved the issues with their B-80 D1 well. Their CTO, K Raghavan, has advertised a job on LinkedIn for a Senior Process, Design, and Flow Assurance role. This role involves predicting, preventing, and fixing problems like solid blockages in pipelines that could disrupt production. As far as I know, such blockage issues due to asphaltene deposition are only happening in their B-80 D1 and D2 wells. If the D1 well is now operating at its full potential, it is great news for both short-term and long-term investors. And guessing, this could be why the stock is seeing a surge in price and volume in last two trading. For any confirmation on this, we may need to wait till the coming con-call. not a buy sell call.
