Reliance jio did take market share from Idea and Vodafone and killed other telecom players, however Airtel is still standing resolutely and gave higher returns than Reliance. So, Jio finance is definitely a threat for existing financial companies but companies with strong franchises are here to stay. Market is to big for a few players to stay and fight. Do not confuse lending with Paint business, it looks like commodity business but it is not. You need an experience and data stack which needs years to built.
